The seal of St. John's School, chartered in 1945 with SJD, the church which hosts our Greek Bible study, shows an image of "the lamp of knowledge. Written below the seal is "Faith and Virtue" the school's motto. I was stunned to see a quote of 2Peter 5-7 on a friend's desk, recently in Oregon, along with the opening verse to "Amazing Grace". It is the guiding light to the goals of Christian Character.
